The air cooler was invented by Goettl brothers in ISA. International Metal Products Company (now IMPCO, a Symphony Group Company) was founded.
 
1955
International Metal Products Company de Mexico, S.A. de C.V. was established.
 
1961
The world's first portable cooler was launched.
 
1977
International Metal Products Company de Mexico changed its name to IMPCO.
 
1988
Symphony pioneered branded air coolers in India.
 
1993
Launched Kaizen - a cooler that looks like an AC.
